Telangna: Govt green signal to fill 485 posts in Singareni

State Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarkamallu directed Singareni Chairman and MD Balaram Naik to prepare notifications for immediate filling of 317 direct recruitment posts and 168 internal recruitment posts which are vacant in Singareni Collieries.

The Deputy CM ordered to take up the recruitment process of compassionate grounds in Singareni fast and give jobs to at least one thousand successors this year. The Deputy CM held a high-level review meeting with Chairman and Managing Director of Singareni N. Balaram, Director (Personnel) Mr. N. V. K. Srinivas and other officials on the development and welfare programs to be undertaken under Singareni Collieries at the Secretariat on Wednesday.

On this occasion, the Deputy CM said that the recruitment process should be very transparent. He said that no matter what kind of malpractice happens in the exams, there is nothing to ignore. It is suggested that the process of notifications should be rigorous. As per the promise given by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy at the Singareni Udyoga Mela, he said that a positive decision should be taken as soon as possible regarding raising the age limit of heirs from 35 years to 40 years.

He inquired about the progress of the one crore accident insurance MoU with Union Bank of India for Singareni workers without having to pay any premium. He said that 43,000 employees working in the hazardous coal sector will be provided with financial security for their families by providing accident insurance of one crore rupees.

CMD Balaram explained to the Deputy Chief Minister that till now there is no such agreement in Coal India and soon steps will be taken to provide this risk insurance facility with other banks as well. The Deputy CM suggested that the workers should be made aware of the accident insurance. Deputy CM Singareni ordered the officials to make arrangements to inaugurate the 10.5 MW solar plant built at Kothagudem under Singareni on 26th of this month.

The rest of the solar plants under Singareni should be completed soon. The guest house built in Hyderabad for the convenience of Singareni employees and officials should make arrangements for the Bhumi Puja program. He said that the foundation stone will be laid soon on behalf of the state government. He said that the government is ready to provide cooperation for the welfare of Singareni workers.

Apart from this, the rapid cavity filters which have been undertaken to provide safe fresh water to Godavarikhani and Manchiryala workers should be prepared to start. A daily review of coal production and transportation has been ordered in view of the possibility of high electricity demand this summer. They want to see that there is no shortage of coal for thermal power stations.

According to the instructions of the Deputy Chief Minister of the State, Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu, notifications are being issued for 317 direct and 168 internal posts vacant in Singareni on Thursday.

After the meeting with the Deputy CM, a meeting was held with the directors at Singareni Bhavan, Hyderabad. Director (Personnel) Mr. N.V.K.Srinivas was directed to take all steps on the proposals to increase the age limit of heirs to 40 years. They want to make all the arrangements for the inauguration of the Kothagudem Solar Plant and also for the Bhumi Puja program of the Hyderabad guest house.
