New Delhi: GRAP revoked in Delhi NCR due to improved air quality
In view of improved air quality in the National Capital Delhi, the Stage II anti-pollution restrictions under the Graded Response Action Plan GRAP have been revoked in the city.
The Sub-Committee of the Commission for Air Quality Management, yesterday reviewed the restrictions imposed since 21st October last year and held that the measures are no longer needed as the Air Quality Index AQI in Delhi was recorded at 231, significantly below the 301-400 range warrants Stage II actions.
The average AQI of Delhi has considerably improved in the last 4 to 5 days and remained less than 300 since the 15th of this month. Last night Delhi witnessed light rains and the AQI was recorded at 211 at 7 this morning.
