Bihar: EC team holds discussions with representatives of national and recognized political parties

In Bihar, the Election Commission team led by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar held discussions with representatives of national and recognized political parties of the state today. The team took feedback, suggestions, and complaints from political parties for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. 

After the meeting, the poll panel team is holding discussions with field officers like District Magistrates cum District Election Officers, Superintendents of Police, Divisional Commissioners, Inspectors General, and DIGs of different ranges. The issue of electoral roll, polling stations, voter-centric amenities at polling booths, and security aspects are being discussed in the meeting.
 
The full Election Commission team reached Patna last evening on a three-day visit to Bihar to take stock of preparedness for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. On the first day, the team held discussions with the Chief Electoral Officer of Jharkhand and other officials of the state.

On the last day of the visit tomorrow, the team will take feedback from the CEO of Bihar HR Shrinivas, and Nodal Officer of Central Police Forces of Bihar.

The issue of curbing black money, liquor, narcotics substances, and other contraband will be taken up with enforcement agencies like the Income Tax, Excise Department, and Customs officers. Before leaving for Delhi, the CEC will hold a final round review meeting with the Chief Secretary Aamir Subhani, and DGP RS Bhatti
