FIH Women’s Hockey Pro League: India defeats Australia by 1-0 at Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium

In the FIH Women’s Hockey Pro League, India defeated Australia 1-0 at the Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium in Rourkela yesterday, registering their second win of the tournament.
 
After the first half, both the teams were 0-0 as they effectively defended and thwarted each other’s scoring attempts. India opened their account with Vandana Katariya scoring the first goal, which led the hosts to victory.

Indian Women’s Hockey team will now face the United States at Rourkela today at 7.30 PM Indian Time.
 
Indian team is fifth in the points table, with two wins, five losses, and six points in total. The Netherlands are at the top, unbeaten in their 11 matches, and have 33 points.
