Andhra Pradesh CEO Mukesh Kumar Meena held review meeting on election preparations through video conference
Andhra Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer Mukesh Kumar Meena held a review meeting with District Collectors and SPs on election preparations through video conference on Friday evening. During this, he reviewed on the management of election staff, preparation of voter list, distribution of voter cards, arrangement of minimum facilities in polling stations and maintenance of law and order.
The Chief Electoral Officer directed the District Collectors and SPs to complete the preparation of the list of personnel who will participate in the conduct of the 2024 Assembly and Lok Sabha elections. The number of election personnel in each district should be 20 per cent more than the initial estimate, he said. Training programs related to non-polling duties should be completed by the end of the month.
The Chief Electoral Officer directed the SPs to submit a report of the problematic areas by the end of this month and to coordinate and set up check posts on as many routes as possible. He further directed them to set up mobile squads and static squads for continuous monitoring of major routes as well as minor routes.
AP Law and Order Additional DG Shankhabrata Bagchi, Additional Chief Electoral Officer P. Koteswara Rao, Additional Chief Electoral Officer MN Harendhira Prasad, Deputy Chief Electoral Officer K. Visweswara Rao and others were present in this programme.
