Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi accepts resignation of V Senthil Balaji from state cabinet

Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi has accepted the resignation of V Senthil Balaji from the state cabinet. A press release issued by Raj Bhavan said that the Governor has approved and accepted the recommendation of Chief Minister MK Stalin in this regard.

Senthil Balaji resigned from Cabinet, seven months after he was arrested and imprisoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a money laundering and job scam case. Balaji’s arrest was linked to a purported cash-for-jobs scam that occurred during his tenure as the transport minister, from 2011 to 2015.
