Minister Konda Surekha has expressed deep shock over the death of Greyhounds Constable A. Praveen Kumar after being hit by electric wires set up by hunters for hunting wild animals in the Mahadevpur forest area.

Forest and Environment Minister Mrs. Konda Surekha has expressed deep shock over the death of Greyhounds Constable A. Praveen Kumar after being hit by electric wires set up by hunters to hunt wild animals in the Mahadevpur forest area of Kataram mandal of Jayashankar Bhupal Pally district.

The minister stated that it is unfortunate that this incident happened while the combing operation was going on. She expressed her deepest sympathy to Praveen’s family members. Minister Surekha clarified that the government will support Praveen’s family in all ways.

The Minister directed the Chief Wildlife Warden M.C. Pargaien to submit comprehensive details regarding this incident. The minister suggested that the details of the areas where the hunters are likely to install electric wires to hunt wild animals and provide them to the local police authorities along with the greyhounds.

The Minister said that there will be an opportunity for them to take precautionary measures so that they do not fall victim to accidents. She directed the forest officials to take strict action against those who are involved in illegal activities of hunting wild animals.
