In Cricket, India will take on Australia in the summit clash of Men’s Under 19 ODI World Cup, at Benoni in South Africa this afternoon. The match will start at 1:30 PM Indian time.

Skipper Uday Saharan-led Indian team will be aiming to make history by lifting the record-extending sixth Under-19 World Cup title. India, who are defending champions, have won the title the most number of times, triumphing in 2000, 2008, 2012, 2018 and 2022.

In its semi-final match, India eased past South Africa, by two wickets on Tuesday. On the other hand, Australia qualified for the final after a thrilling one wicket win against Pakistan in the semi-finals on Thursday.

Looking at the tournament, both the finalists have arrived at this stage unbeaten. However, Australia were held to a no-result against the West Indies in the Super-6 stage, while India has won all its matches.

Australia U19 have won the toss and have opted to bat

It’s the big day, and it’s India vs Australia in a World Cup final yet again. This is India’s fifth consecutive final appearance in the U19 World Cup, ninth overall, and they’re chasing a record sixth title. Led by Uday Saharan, the team has remained unbeaten throughout the tournament, dominating most of their matches and showing some excellent skills in all departments.

The semifinal game was a bit tricky though as they beat South Africa by just two wickets to make it through to this clash today. Australia’s semifinal against Pakistan was even more nerve-wracking, and it was the last-wicket partnership of 17 that got them over the line. These two teams have met in the final twice before, and India have a 2-0 record in their favour.
