Maharashtra: Uddhav Thackeray demands President’s rule in the state
Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has demanded to dissolve the government in the state and impose President’s rule and hold assembly elections immediately.
He was speaking at a press conference today in Mumbai about the two firing incidences happened in the last ten days. The government has no control over the affairs of the state, he said.
He further said that if the government gives free rein to the police, all the gangsters will be in jail within 24 hours. He also appealed that the Supreme Court should give a verdict in the Shiv Sena MLA’s disqualification case at the earliest.
The Congress had also demanded the imposition of President’s rule in the state yesterday.
