MP: Govt removes Collector Rishi Garg and SP Sanjeev Kumar Kanchan
Madhya Pradesh government has removed Collector Rishi Garg and SP Sanjeev Kumar Kanchan following an explosion at an illegal firecracker factory in Harda. Factory Inspector and Assistant Director of Industrial Health and Safety Department Naveen Kumar Barwa has been suspended.
The fire has been brought under control at the incident site. Relief and rescue operations were also stopped. More than 50 nearby houses have been damaged by the explosion. The police presented the arrested factory owners Rajesh Aggarwal, Somesh Aggarwal and manager Rafiq Khan in the court yesterday. The court sent Rajesh and Rafiq to jail while Somesh Aggarwal was taken on remand for three days by the police.
A massive fire broke out in Bairagarh village near Harda on Tuesday after an explosion in an illegal firecracker factory. The administration has confirmed the death of 11 people in this accident. While more than 150 people have been injured.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav reached Harda yesterday to meet the people injured in the accident. The Chief Minister instructed the hospital management for proper treatment of the injured.
