Bihar CM Nitish Kumar meets PM Modi: No question of leaving NDA

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Wednesday. It was their first meeting after Mr Kumar switched over to the NDA and formed a government in the state along with the BJP. The meeting took place ahead of the Nitish Kumar-led government facing a trust vote in the Assembly next week and the Rajya Sabha polls this month.

Mr Kumar who is also the president of Janata Dal (United) also met Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president Jagat Prakash Nadda.

Later talking to media, Mr Kumar said, they had a very good meeting. He said, BJP and JD (U) were together since 1995. Mr Kumar said, his party moved here and there twice in between, but now, it will remain in the NDA for forever.

Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar said that there is no question of leaving NDA as his party’s bond with BJP is 29 years old.

He said although JD(U) and BJP parted their ways on some occasions but the bond is now very strong. The Chief Minister said on BJP -JD(U) relations that since 1995 they have been working together.

Mr. Kumar was talking to the media in Patna after concluding his New Delhi tour where he called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President JP Nadda in a series of meetings.

He said for upcoming Lok Sabha elections, seat sharing issue will be resolved on time as BJP is aware of the issue. Mr. Kumar met the senior BJP leaders first time after formation of new NDA government in Bihar.
