Andhra Pradesh Cabinet approves Mega DSC notification and filling up of 6,100 Govt posts

The Andhra Pradesh State Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy today has approved several key decisions about the State. The Cabinet has given the green signal for the release of the Mega DSC (District Selection Committee) notification and approved the allocation of 6,100 posts for the maintenance of the DSC.

It has approved the decisions of filling 689 posts in the Forest Department and having a Panchayat Secretary for each Gram Panchayat across the State. The Cabinet also gave its nod for the creation of the post of Registrar to RJUKT (Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies) and increasing the retirement age of non-teaching staff working in universities and higher education institutions from 60 to 62.

The 4th installment of YSR Cheyutha, a welfare programme, received approval from the Cabinet and funds are set to be released in February for various developmental purposes. The Cabinet approved the release of funds worth 5,000 crore rupees for the welfare of SC, ST, BC, and minority women.

Resolutions passed by SIPB (Single Window Clearance System for Industries) and investment proposals worth 22,000 crore rupees in the energy sector received a green signal from the Cabinet. Two wind power projects in the Nandyala & Kurnool districts and the setting up of 600 MW wind power projects in Sri Sathya Sai and Anantapur districts were approved by the Cabinet.
