Full Dress Rehearsal for Republic Day Parade to be held at Kartavya Path in New Delhi today
The full dress rehearsal for the Republic Day Parade will be held at Kartavya Path in New Delhi today. Delhi Police has made elaborate traffic arrangements for the smooth conduct of the Parade along the route. The Parade rehearsal will start at 10:30 am from Vijay Chowk and will proceed to Red Fort.
The parade will pass through Vijay Chowk, Kartavyapath, C-Hexagon, roundabout of Statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and Tilak Marg to Red Fort. In its traffic advisory, Delhi police has said that no traffic on Kartvyapath from Vijay Chowk to India Gate will be allowed till the parade is over.
Delhi Police has requested the commuters to plan their journey in advance and avoid the route of the parade from 9.30 AM to 1 PM for their own convenience.
Delhi Metro rail services will remain available for commuters at all metro stations during the full dress rehearsal today. However, boarding and de-boarding will not be allowed at Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhawan from 5 AM till 12 noon.
Republic Day Parade to Showcase 26 Tableaux at Kartavya Path
A total of 26 tableaux will participate in the Republic Day Parade this year at Kartavya Path in New Delhi. Sixteen tableaux from States and UTs and ten from Ministries, Departments, and Organisations will roll down the Kartavya Path. The States and UTs are, Arunachal Pradesh, Haryana, Manipur, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Ladakh, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Meghalaya, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh and Telangana.
