PM Modi to Inaugurate Boeing India’s Bengaluru Campus, Launch Sukanya Program

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the new state of the art Boeing India Engineering and Technology Center campus in Bengaluru tomorrow afternoon. Built in 43 acres at the cost of 1600 crore rupees, the Boeing India campus is said to be the largest outside the USA. The Centre will help develop next generation products and services for the global aerospace and defence industry.
 
During the inaugural ceremony, the Prime Minister will also launch the Boeing Sukanya Program that will support girls to pursue careers in the country’s growing aviation sector. The program will provide opportunities for the girls and women across India to learn critical skills in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM).

Such 150 STEM Labs will be opened across the country for the young girls to be moulded for a career in the aviation sector. Under this, scholarships will also be provided to women interested to pursue training as pilots.
