Haryana: CM Declares Liquor Shops Shut on Ayodhya Ram Mandir Inauguration Day
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal said that all liquor establishments in the state would be closed on January 22, the day when Shri Ram Janam Bhoomi temple at Ayodhya will be inaugurated.
While interacting with the media at Panchkula today, CM appealed every family to illuminate diyas at their homes on January 22. He said that there are considerations to arrange live broadcasts in educational institutes and other places to facilitate people connecting with Pran Prastishtha Samaroh.
In reply to another question, the Chief Minister emphasized that the inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is not a political event and it holds deep sentimental significance for the people.
He mentioned that those who choose not to attend the function may face consequences as the people themselves will give them a befitting reply. In response to a question about the Prime Minister’s call for cleanliness work in religious places,
Mr Manohar Lal mentioned that this noble drive will continue till January 22. He said, this period involves performing ‘Puja’ and carrying out cleanliness activities in religious places.
