Maharashtra: PMC sets up 82 EV charging points across Pune

In Maharashtra, considering the increasing number of electric vehicles in Pune, Pune Municipal Corporation is setting up 82 e-charging stations at various places in the city.

Out of these 21 charging stations have been completed and were inaugurated by Municipal Commissioner Vikram Kumar yesterday. Tenders were invited in 2022 for setting up these e-charging stations.

This work has been given to a private company on a PPP basis along with the land owned by Pune Municipal Corporation.

The cost incurred for the stations will be borne by the contractor concerned and 50 percent of the profit will be given to the Pune Municipal Corporation.
