Telangana: Single-use plastic should be controlled in daily life: Minister Konda Surekha

Ms. Konda Surekha, Minister for Forest Environment said that it is the responsibility of all of us to provide a livable environment for the future generations.

She appealed to reduce as much as possible the use of plastic in everyday life as much as we are giving importance to increasing greenery.

The minister said that single-use plastic causes many harms and the excessive use of plastic waste without awareness is polluting our environment, air and water.

In addition to the government’s efforts, all the people have been called upon to undertake the reduction of plastic consumption as a matter of course.

Apart from his secretariat office, he has decided to control single use plastic as much as possible in his residence. It is suggested to increase the use of glass bottles or steel items instead of plastic bottles. Minister Ms. Konda Surekha released a video message to this effect.
