Indian Navy Unveils ‘Drishti 10 UAV’ for Enhanced Maritime Surveillance
Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral R Hari Kumar unveiled ‘Drishti 10 Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV)’ in Hyderabad today.
Speaking after unveiling the UAV, Admiral R Hari Kumar said that its integration will enhance naval capabilities, strengthening the country’s preparedness in the ever-evolving maritime surveillance and reconnaissance.
‘Drishti 10 Starliner (UAV)’, an indegeniously manufactured UAV, was handed over by Adani Defence & Aerospace to the Indian Navy. Drishti 10 Starliner is an advanced intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) platform.
The only all-weather military platform with NATO’s STANAG 4671 (standardized agreement 4671) certification for UAV system’s airworthiness is cleared to fly in both segregated and un-segregated airspace.
The UAV will now be taken from Hyderabad to Porbandar in Gujarat to be inducted into naval maritime operations.
