Hyderabad: Mahindra University School of Law will organize International Conference on Law and Technology on March 1

The School of Law, Mahindra University, Hyderabad is organising a one-day Law and Technology International Conference on “Revolutionary Technologies and Evolutionary Laws: Challenges and Opportunities” on 1stMarch, 2024 in hybrid mode.

This Conference is preceded by a one-day work shop on “Data Governance in the Age of Artificial Intelligence” on 29th February, 2024 and succeeds by 1st MU International Moot Court Competition on 2nd and 3rdMarch, 2024.

Today, in a small event organised by School of Law, Dr.YajuluMedury, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, and Prof. V. Balakista Reddy, Dean, School of Law have released the Conference Brochure and launched the webpage with conference details.

This Law and Technology International Conference is jointly organised by School of Law, Mahindra University; Grayspace Law and Policy Consulting, Belgium; Centre for Human Security Studies (CHSS), Hyderabad and A.P. Suresh and Associates, Law Chambers, Hyderabad.

The plausibility of potentials as well as imperfections also rises with the exponential growth of the technology. The law fraternity need to be on toes to keep up the pace with technology, so that the technology does not crosses the boundaries of very principles of humanity.

The innovation can not take the back seat, if we have to move forward, therefore putting a provision of keeping a legal check on the innovative domains of the technology is the need of the contemporary times. With this in mind, the School of Law, Mahindra University is taking a pioneering initiative to bring the various national and international experts on one common platform to seek out feasible solutions to techno-legal challenges and opportunities.

This Conference aims to shed light on various issues and themes relating toTraditional International Norms vis-à-vis Technology; Traditional International Law Principles of State Sovereignty, State Jurisdiction, State Responsibility, State Liability; Data Privacy, Data Protection and Legal Challenges; Cyber Crimes, Cyber Security, Cyber Technologies and Emerging Legal Challenges; Techno-Legal Challenges in the age of Globalization and Covidization.
