Hyderabad: Govt Polytechnic Students Gain Exposure at GITAM
On January 9, 2024 (Tuesday), students and faculty from Government Polytechnic College, Sangareddy, visited the Hyderabad Campus of GITAM Deemed-to-be University. The visit, organized by GITAM’s Core Engineering Department Faculty, aimed to provide hands-on experience and exposure to the state-of-the-art facilities available at the university.
Approximately 130 EEE and ECE students from Sangareddy, accompanied by faculty members participated in this visit.
GITAM’s Core Engineering Department Faculty organized a workshop with hands-on experience activities for the visiting students. The sessions focused on providing practical insights into various engineering concepts.
Students had the opportunity to explore GITAM’s campus, witnessing the state-of-the-art infrastructure, well-equipped laboratories, the Knowledge Resource Centre, Digital Library, Auditorium, Seminar halls, sports facilities, gymnasium, and the world-class hostels.

As part of GITAM’s commitment to Institute Social Responsibility (ISR), various workshops, Faculty Development Programs (FDP), and seminars are organized for senior secondary grade and diploma students. These initiatives aim to enhance skills and knowledge in diverse topics applicable to personal and professional development.
Led by experienced faculty and industry experts, the activity provided students and teachers with exposure to the corporate world’s knowledge. This included insights into various career options available in the corporate sector.
The visit was designed to broaden the students’ understanding of practical applications in their respective fields and offer a glimpse into the academic and professional opportunities at GITAM Deemed-to-be University.
