Maharashtra: Miyawaki style tree planting by Union Minister Bhupender Yadav
In Buldhana, Maharashtra, Union Minister for Environment, Forests and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav participated in a tree plantation drive under the Atal Anandwan Ghanwan Project where plantation in under the Miyawaki method. Also, inaugurated the new Forest Range Office in Khamgaon.
Union Minister for Environment, Forests and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav planted saplings in Miyawaki style in Khamgaon taluk of Buldana district. It includes trees like pimpal, kadunimb, jumble, amba and moh.
Bhupender Yadav said that 30,000 plants of different species will be sent to Lavali in the coming period or in the area. Amaravati Department Forest Conservator Amit Kumar Mishri, local public representatives, officials or program planners were present.
On June 18, 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, through his Mann Ki Baat or programme, called for planting trees that way.
