FIH Hockey Qualifiers 2024 scheduled in Ranchi, Jharkhand from 13th to 19th January, 2024; Hockey India announces 18-member Indian Women’s team

Hockey India yesterday named an 18-member Indian Women’s team for the FIH Hockey Qualifiers 2024 scheduled in Ranchi, Jharkhand from the 13th to the 19th of January, 2024.

The top three teams in the eight-team hockey competition will secure qualification for the Paris 2024 Olympics, to be held in July-August this year.  Goalkeeper Savita Punia will serve as the Captain of the Indian team.  Vandana Katariya has been named Vice Captain.

India have been placed in Pool B, along with New Zealand, Italy and the United States while Germany, Japan, Chile and the Czech Republic make up Pool A.
