0 466

This year has been remarkable for India’s space sector. Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) achieved the historic milestone of landing the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft. The Department of Space today in a statement said that India has become the first country in the globe to land spacecraft near the south pole of the Moon.

Highlighting India’s Solar mission, the department said that ISRO successfully launched the Aditya L1 spacecraft to study the Sun and its effect on the heliosphere.

It further said that India became the 27th country to sign the Artemis Accords led by the United States. The accord was signed in June this year. Artemis Accords establish a practical set of principles to guide space exploration cooperation among nations, including those participating in NASA’s Artemis program.

ISRO also launched the second developmental flight of the Small Satellite Launch Vehicle. This mission provides low-cost access to Space, offers low turn-around time, and flexibility in accommodating multiple satellites.
