Hardeep Singh Puri inaugurates National Street Food Festival in New Delhi
Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri today inaugurated the National Street Food Festival in New Delhi. Addressing the gathering, Mr Puri lauded PM SVANidhi scheme for providing loans to street vendors. Appreciating the effort of street vendors, he said, they have now become mini entrepreneurs, which is a positive integration.
The 13th edition of the food festival is being organized by the National Association of Street Vendors (NASVI) at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi till 31st of this month.
The three-day food festival aims to provide recognition to street foods and vendors. According to the NASVI, more than 80 stalls have been set up at the stadium serving a variety of dishes from all over the country. People can visit the food festival from 12 noon to 10 PM with a ticket, costing 130 rupees.
