TN: Govt announces Rs. 8.68 Cr as relief for those affected by oil leak at Ennore Creek
The Tamilnadu Government has announced relief of eight crore and 68 lakh rupees as relief for those affected by the oil leak at Ennore Creek during Cyclone Michaung.
Chief Minister M.K.Stalin said that a relief of 12,500 rupees will be given to each of 2301 families residing at the fishing villages which were severely affected due to the oil leak. The amount will be credited directly into their accounts.
As a relief ten thousand rupees will be given to each of 787 fishermen whose boats were severely damaged. According to the State Government Press release, a relief amount of 7500 rupees will be given to each of the 6700 families residing in the areas of Chennai Corporation which were affected by the oil leak
