Andhra Pradesh: Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy’s key directives on wildlife conservation measures
First State Board of Wildlife Standing Committee meeting at Secretariat in Velagapudi.
The first meeting of the Standing Committee of the State Board of Wildlife was held under the chairmanship of the Forest Minister Mr. Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy at the Secretariat in Velagapudi. On this occasion, Minister Shri Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy reviewed the measures to be taken for wildlife conservation in the sanctuaries of the state.
On this occasion, the officials explained the steps being taken to protect wild animals in Kolleru and Papikondalu sanctuaries. On this occasion, the Minister advised the officials to take all precautions to ensure that there is no threat to the survival of wild animals due to the development programs in the sanctuary areas. He said that committees with experts should be formed and the impact on wildlife should be studied.
Special Chief Secretary (Forest, EFS&T) Nirab Kumar Prasad, PCCF (HoFF) Y. Madhusudhan Reddy, Wildlife Conservation Division APCCF Shantipriya Pandey, Standing Committee members Additional DGP Ravindra Babu, Zoological Survey of India Joint Director Dr. Deepa, Fisheries Director G. Hemant Naik and others were present in this meeting.
