President Droupadi Murmu emphasizes need to adopt innovative technology for energy conservation

President Droupadi Murmu today felicitated the winners of the National Energy Conservation Awards, National Energy Efficiency Innovation Awards, and National Painting Competition on Energy Conservation 2023 at a function in New Delhi. National Energy Conservation Awards aims at raising awareness about energy efficiency and its conservation. The function was organized on the occasion of National Energy Conservation Day.
 
Speaking on the occasion, the President said that the awards given towards energy efficiency and conservation will inspire others. She stressed the need to create awareness for energy conservation by adopting innovative technology.

 
Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister of Power R K Singh said that India has emerged as one of the leaders in energy transition in the world. He said, energy transition and climate change are important issues for the world. He said, climate change is posing a threat to planet and collective efforts are required to combat the challenge.
