Home Ministry orders enquiry into Parliament security breach incident
The Union Home Ministry has ordered an enquiry into the Parliament security breach incident on a request from Lok Sabha Secretariat.
The Ministry spokesperson said, an Enquiry Committee has been set up under Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Director General, Dayal Singh, comprising members from other security agencies and experts.
The Enquiry Committee will investigate into the reasons for breach in security of Parliament, identify lapses and recommend further action. The Committee will submit its report with recommendations, including suggestions on improving security in Parliament, at the earliest.
Delhi police special cell registers case under UAPA in the Parliament security breach incident
Delhi police special cell has registered a case under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) in the Parliament security breach incident. Sources said that a high-level investigation is underway into the matter. Haryana police is also gathering information about the accused so that the details can be shared with Delhi Police.
