Uttarakhand: Cold winds are blowing in many places due to fresh snowfall in the higher areas

In Uttarakhand, the cold is being experienced in several parts due to fresh snowfall in the high-altitude areas. There have been reports of snowfall in Badrinath, Hemkund Sahib, Auli and Joshimath in Chamoli district, while Uttarkashi’s Harshil and Gangotri have also received light snowfall.

In Kumaon division, high reaches of the Bageshwar district also experienced fresh snowfall. The movement of tourists has also increased in the hilly areas of the state following the fresh snowfall.

Met Department has predicted that the weather will remain normal in the state for the next few days. It has expressed the possibility of frost at some places in the hilly areas of the state.
