Dr. Mohan Yadav sworn in as Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh in the presence of PM Modi

In Madhya Pradesh, Governor Mangubhai Patel today administered an oath of office and secrecy to Dr Mohan Yadav as the Chief Minister in a swearing-in ceremony in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Motilal Nehru Stadium of Bhopal. The Governor also administered an oath to Jagdish Dewra and Rajendra Shukla as Deputy Chief Ministers.

The Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has formally taken charge on the first day itself.  He also presided over the first meeting of the State Council of Ministers at Vallabh Bhawan, Bhopal. Giving information about the decisions of the Council of Ministers after the meeting, the Chief Minister said that the State government will establish Prime Minister Excellence Colleges in all the districts. 

Apart from this, Digi Lockers will be started in all government and private higher educational institutions of the State for the convenience of students.  The government also issued guidelines to ban the use of unregulated or uncontrolled loudspeakers in religious and other places.

Before taking over the charge, Mr  Yadav offered prayers at Mahakal Temple in Ujjain. Meanwhile, a meeting of the Congress Legislature Party will be held tomorrow at the State Congress Headquarters.The name of the Leader of Opposition will be decided in the meeting.
