Rajasthan: BJP Legislature Party to meet to elect its leader today
The BJP legislature party in Rajasthan will meet this afternoon in Jaipur to elect its leader. All newly elected BJP legislatures have been directed to attend the meeting. The meeting of the newly elected MLAs will take place at BJP state headquarter.
Registration of MLAs will start at 1 PM, after which a meeting of the legislature party will take place. Observers appointed by the BJP president, Union Minister Rajnath Singh along with Vinod Tavde and Saroj Panday will also be present in the meeting.
The state BJP headquarter has been decorated with flowers and ligitings for the welcome of new leader of the legislative party. Elaborate security arrangements have been ensured around the BJP office since yesterday evening.
Observer for the meeting Union Minister Rajnath Singh is scheduled to reach Jaipur at around 11 AM. Registration of all MLAs will start from 1 PM and the leader of the legislature party is likely to be announced around 4 o’clock.
For the last twenty-five years, the state has been ruled alternately by Congress leader Ashok Gehlot and BJP’s Vasundhara Raje. There is discussion among people whether Vasundhara Raje will again be elected the leader of the BJP legislative party. Or Rajasthan will witness a new face of Chief Minister like Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.
