Over 1.15 Cr Digital Life Certificates generated: Dr. Jitendra Singh
Minister of State for Personnel Dr. Jitendra Singh said that the Government is working on appropriate steps to ease of lives of pensioners in the country. Dr. Singh said this while reviewing the progress of Digital Life Certificate Campaign 2.0 in New Delhi today. He stated that after the reforms in the policy for pensioners, elderly citizens are availing of doorstep services.
Briefing the media in New Delhi, Dr. Singh said that over one crore fifteen lakh Digital Life Certificates have been generated under the nationwide Digital Life Certificate Campaign 2.0 in the last month. Dr. Singh said that the campaign implemented the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the Digital Empowerment of Pensioners.
During the campaign, Digital Life Certificates were generated for 38 lakh Central Government Pensioners, of which, the number of face Authenticated Digital Life Certificates is around ten lakh. The campaign was held at 597 locations in one hundred cities.
