TSFDC association with UAE Consulate General Hyderabad celebrates “52nd National Day” in honor of UAE “COP28 Summit”
On the occasion of the United Arab Emirates hosting the “COP28 Summit” and celebrating it’s “52nd National Day”, the Consulate General of the United Arab Emirates in Hyderabad in cooperation with “Telangana State Forest Development Corporation Limited” has taken-up a green initiative and planted 52 new species of plants which were not existing in Botanical Garden commemorating UAE 52nd National day under the name ‘COP28 Corner.
The Hon’ble Consul General, Hyderabad Shri. Aaref Alnuaimi has planted Ghaf Plant (Jammi) which is a national Tree of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and speaking on this occasion he said “We are very happy to take this green initiative in this edutainment Botanical Garden and he thanked TSFDC VC & MD Dr. G. Chandrashekar Reddy IFS (PCCF) and the staff and management for this opportunity and will collaborate with TSFDC and take-up many green initiatives in future too” he said.
On this occasion TSFDC VC & MD Dr. G. Chandrashekar Reddy IFS (PCCF) said “In Botanical Garden we have planted 1500 new variety of species within one year and we were in the process of increasing its diversity, we are happy to collaborate with UAE Consulate General of Hyderabad for this green initiation” and he also said that “all the plants which were planted are rare species and have medicinal values too. Few species Myristica andamanica, Diospyros malabarica, Dilenia pentagyna, Majidea zanguebarica, Diospyros sylvatica, Pinus wallichiana are some of the rare species which were planted in Botanical Gardens”
