Hyderabad: Avinash College Students Gain Insight into Management Education at GITAM

Avinash College of Commerce final year Commerce and BBA students had the opportunity to visit GITAM Deemed-to-be University in Hyderabad. The visit, which took place on November 25, 2023, allowed the students to explore the world-class infrastructure and facilities offered by GITAM.

A total of 432 students, accompanied by their faculty members, visited GITAM, Hyderabad to witness the state-of-the-art laboratories, fully equipped Knowledge Resource Centre, and international standard hostels. The students were impressed by the exceptional learning environment provided by GITAM.

During their visit, the students had the privilege of interacting with faculty members Prof. Manoj Gour, Dr. Rekha, and Prof. Devi Prasad from GITAM School of Business, Hyderabad. The faculty organized hands-on workshops and management activities to provide the students with a practical understanding of management education. They also highlighted the various courses offered by GITAM and emphasized the career opportunities available in the field of management.

The faculty members emphasized the importance of pursuing an MBA degree, stating that it boosts and advances student careers like no other postgraduate degree. They explained how an MBA degree opens doors to various domains, including finance, operations, human resources, marketing, and more.

The faculty members also highlighted the internship opportunities available at GITAM, which allow students to gain firsthand experience in the operations of an organization. Additionally, they mentioned the presence of a placement cell that coordinates opportunities for students to interview potential employers.

The success of this visit would not have been possible without the efforts and dedication of Dr. K Shiva Kumar, Head Admissions at GITAM, Hyderabad, and N. Siva Mallikarjuna Rao, State Head, Telangana. Their commitment ensured that the students had a valuable and enriching learning experience during their visit to GITAM.
