In Cricket, India beat Australia by two wickets in the first match of the five-match series of T20 Internationals at Visakhapatnam last night. Sent into bat first, Australia posted 208 runs for 3 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Josh Inglis scored 110 while Steve Smith made 52.
India overhauled the target of 209 runs with a ball to spare losing eight wickets. Suryakumar Yadav played the captain’s knock scoring 80 runs while Ishan Kishan made 58.
This was India’s highest successful chase in T20 Internationals. The next match of the series will be played on Sunday in Thiruvananthapuram.
