Telangana: Home voting began in all 119 constituencies across state
In Telangana, the home voting began yesterday in all 119 constituencies across the state. The home voting facility will be completed by the 27th of this month.
A total of 28 thousand 57 (28057) people have opted for home voting, with the highest number of 757 voters in Siddipet, and the lowest of 11 at Bahadurpura constituencies.
For the first time in Telangana, a home voting facility is being made available for senior citizens over 80 years of age and persons with disabilities for the assembly polls. Under the Home Voting process, two polling officials will visit the homes of eligible voters to collect their votes on postal ballots, which will be counted alongside other votes.
The voting process ensures secrecy, and the entire procedure will be recorded via videography, with the footage submitted to the RO. The state assembly polls are scheduled for the 30th of this month, and the counting of votes will take place on the 3rd of next month.
