Andhra Pradesh: Huge response receives from public for ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’
In Andhra Pradesh, a huge response was received from the public for the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ in Alluri Sitarama Raju District yesterday. Three IEC (Information, Education and Communication) vans helped organise various awareness programmes in a few Mandals of the district.
These included Paderu, Araku Valley, Rampachodavaram and Gummalakshmipuram Mandal. Through the programmes, officials are reaching out to people and creating awareness about the benefits of welfare schemes like sanitation facilities, essential financial services, electricity connections, access to LPG cylinders, housing for the poor, food security, proper nutrition, reliable healthcare, clean drinking water and others.
Parvathipuram ITDA Project Officer C. Vishnu Charan conducted the review with officials in Gummalakshmipuram on the preparatory arrangements for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra to be organised in the next week in Konda Vada, Lakka Guda Chemudu Kuda villages.
He instructed that all the government officials and bank officials would have to participate in the programme. He also directed to make necessary arrangements for roof water harvesting in Government schools to improve the groundwater levels and effective usage of water resources
