Uttarakhand: Portals of Badrinath shrine to be closed today

In Uttarakhand, the portals of Badrinath shrine located in Chamoli district will be closed on 19th November 2023, Saturday at 3.33 PM for the Winter with Vedic chanting and full rituals. With the closing of Badrinath Portals the Chardham Yatra will be concluded for this year in the state.

All preparations have been made for closing the Badrinath Shrine portals. The temple is decorated with 15 quintals of Marigold flowers. Devotees in large numbers have arrived to witness the occasion.

This year, more than 18 lakh 16 thousand pilgrims visited Badrinath Dham. It may be recalled that the portals of Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham have already been closed for the Winter season.
