Andhra University: Prof H Purushotham on IOCL Starup Scheme Committee
Visakhapatnam: Andhra University informed through the press release that Professor Hanumanthu Purushotham the DPIIT-IPR Chair and the Principle Investigator of the Technology Business Incubation Centre was nominated as one of the Members on the prestigious Indian Oil Startup Scheme-Green Resolve-Amrit Kaal Adhyay.
Indian oil Corporation has been inviting proposals from startups across the country for funding new and transformative ideas for the last four years and committed about Rs.120 Crores so far to convert disruptive ideasinto proof of concepts by Startups.Prof Purushotham is a Member of the Evaluation Committee in all four rounds of calls for the last four years.
Thirty-six innovative Startups have been funded in the first three rounds and they are at various stages of the Startup life cycle. The Committee will evaluate the screened startup proposals and recommend to the IOCL the suitable project proposals for funding in the form of grant up to Rs.3.0 Cr per project idea.
Prof PVGD Prasad Reddy the Vice Chancellor of Andhra University handed over the orders of appointment to Prof Purushotham as IOCL Startup Scheme Fund Committee Member. Registrar Prof James Stephan and other faculty members congratulated him.
