PM Modi shown great concern for welfare of ST people: Puducherry LG
The pending demands of Schedule Tribe people would be considered and necessary help would be extended to them at the earliest. This was disclosed by Lt. Governor of Puducherry Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan in a special program organized today at Puducherry for the Launch of Vikshit Bharat Sankalp Yatra and celebration of Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas.
She informed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has shown great concern for the welfare of ST people. In the ‘One District One Product scheme’ priority is given to the tribal products, she added. She also said that the Vikshit Bharat Sankalp Yatra covers many important schemes and aims for saturation of all schemes.
Chief Minister Shri N. Rangasamy unfolded the measures of his Government in uplifting the lives of ST people including providing plots to build houses and reservation.
All the dignitaries were watching online the Prime Minister’s program at Khunti, Jharkhand.
Lt. Governor, Chief Minister, Dignitaries and participants took the Hamara Sankalp Viksit Bharat Pledge simultaneously with the Prime Minister online.
Later Lt. Governor and Chief Minister jointly distributed subsidies and benefits to ST people under various schemes.
