Maharashtra leads medal tally with 199 medals, followed by Services with 109 at National Games in Goa
The 37th National Games are just three days away from its closing but excitement is increasing with every passing day in Goa. Intense competition is ongoing in games like football, boxing, and kabaddi.
Shubham Debhnath of Goa claimed the gold medal in Traditional Yogasana – Men marking the State’s 12th gold medal this year. Competition for Shooting Men’s Rifle 3 Positions and 25M Fire Pistol events concluded today.
The gold medal of the 25M rapid-fire pistol was won by Vijayveer of Madhya Pradesh while the Silver and Bronze were both bagged by Haryana’s Anish and Adarsh Singh. Gold medal of CM1X bagged by Services. In Lawn Tennis Women’s Doubles final Maharashtra secured the Gold medal and Telangana got the Silver medal.
Maharashtra is still leading the medal table in the National Games 2023 with 199 medals and 69 gold while defending champion Services Sports Control Board is in second place with 109 and 54 gold medals. Haryana retained its third-position medal tally with a total of 140 medals and 40 gold medals. The event is taking place at 28 venues across Goa till the 9th of November.
