UPSC Civil Services Mains Exam-23: Candidates waiting for results to decide next course of action – Prelims 2024 or Interview

The UPSC aspirants eagerly await the results for 2023 UPSC Civil Services (Main) Exam 2023 conducted from 15 to 24th September this year. The results will be announced by the Union Public Service Commission at upsc.gov.in.

The qualified candidates will then gear up for the third and final leg of the exam – the Personality Test or the Interview.

The 2022 UPSC Mains Exam was conducted from 16th to 25th September and the results were announced on 6th December 2022, after a gap of around 2 months and 10 days. The 2021 Mains exam results, on the other hand, were announced after a gap of 2 months.

The Optional subject paper was on 16th January 2022, and the results were announced on 17th March. The year before that, UPSC announced the results in 2 months and 5 days.

Hence, the IAS aspirants who wrote the 2023 UPSC Mains can expect the results to be announced any day between  24th November and 5th December. The Personality tests or Interviews are expected to be held between January-end and March 2024.

The UPSC CSE Notification 2023 declared 1255 Group A vacancies, including 150 for the Indian Forest Service (IFS). The IFS is one of the three All India Services, apart from the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and the Indian Police Service (IPS).
