Telangana: Rahul Gandhi asks people to end the alleged corrupt rule in State at Kalvakurty public rally
In Telangana, senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi today called upon people to end the alleged corrupt rule in the State. Addressing a public rally at Kalvakurty, he said all corrupt money would be taken out if the Congress party voted to power in the State.
He also criticised the BJP over the proposal of a BC leader as the Chief Minister candidate. He explained the six assurances proposed by his Party to the people. BRS Chief and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao called upon people to wisely elect the candidate by considering the Party leaders behind them.
He addressed Praja Ashirvadha Sabhas held in Sathupalli and Yellendu. Recalling implementing the Dalitha Jyothi Scheme when he was Siddipet MLA, he said the same scheme has been the inspiration for the Dalitha Bandhu Scheme, that the BRS government is implementing across the State.
Meanwhile, several prominent leaders have changed their political affiliations ahead of the issuance of notification for Assembly elections. Former MP G Vivek Venkatswamy resigned from the BJP and re-joined the Congress today in the presence of Rahul Gandhi. Prominent leader from LB Nagar constituency, M Rammohan Goud has resigned from Congress and joined the BRS in the presence of BRS senior Leader Harish Rao. Meanwhile, BRS MLA Rathode Bapurao joined the BJP.
