Women’s Asian Hockey Champions Trophy: India beat Malaysia by 5-0 in second match in Jharkhand
In the Women’s Asian Hockey Champions Trophy, India beat Malaysia by 5-0 in their second match at Ranchi, Jharkhand yesterday.
India’s Vandana Katariya scored two goals while Sangita Kumari, Lalremsiami and Pooja netted a goal each.
With this victory India moved to the top of the table with two wins in two outings. On the other hand, Japan also won both their matches but trailed by goal difference.
Earlier, Japan and China registered stunning wins in their matches in Ranchi. Defending champions Japan, defeated the three-time champions and most successful side in the tournament, South Korea by 4-0.
In the next match, China registered a 6-0 win over Thailand. India will now face China tomorrow in their upcoming fixture
