MP: 763 nomination papers submitted by 676 candidates in all 230 assembly constituencies
In Madhya Pradesh, 763 nomination papers were submitted by 676 candidates yesterday in all 230 assembly constituencies. A total of 1 thousand 548 nomination papers have been submitted so far in the State.
The last date to fill out the nomination form is the 30th of October. Voting will be held in a single phase in the State on the 17th of November while counting of votes will take place on the 3rd of December. Meanwhile, the Election campaigning has begun gaining momentum in the State as many senior leaders are arriving in the State.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will arrive in a three-day tour of the state from today. Mr Shah will first reach Chhindwara and also address rallies in Jabalpur and Bhopal. During this visit, he will hold meetings with the leaders of Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, and Rewa regions and discuss the election strategy.
At the same time, All India Congress Committee General Secretary Mrs. Priyanka Gandhi and former Chief Minister Kamal Nath will address the Congress rally in Damoh today. On the other hand, Samajwadi Party has released the fifth list of 35 candidates. SP has been given a ticket to Mirchi Baba from Budhni.
