Indian Coast Guard conducts 6th Subordinate Officer Conclave
New Delhi, 27 Oct 23: The 6th Indian Coast Guard Subordinate Officers’ Conclave 2023 was inaugurated by Director General Rakesh Pal, PTM, TM at Indian Coast Guard Headquarters, New Delhi on 26 Oct 23.
On the theme of ‘Towards an Inclusive Approach’, the two days Conclave (26 & 27 Oct 23) comprised of brainstorming sessions, various plenary sessions, lectures on Media Etiquette/ Media sensitization, IT, Health, HR & leadership involving highly motivated and committed Subordinate Officers (SO’s) who have come from various Coast Guard units, across the country, to attend the event.
The Indian Coast Guard has not only been working towards empowering and broadening the horizon of Subordinate Officers but has also been providing them a platform to express their innovative ideas, thought processes, and wishful thinking before the decision making echelons in the service.

While speaking on the occasion, Director General Rakesh Pal said that the idea of Subordinate Officers’ Conclave is in sync with the Prime Minister’s vision to encourage innovative ideas towards inclusive growth of the service in particular “Sabka Saath, Sab ka Vikas and Sabka Prayas”.
During the event, various Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) towards enhancing welfare measures for the personnel of Coast Guard were signed. The deliberations during the 6th Conclave focused on the future inductions in Indian Coast Guard, based on the principles of “Atam Nirbhar Bharat”, refinement of the HR policies for better and inclusive career growth in line with “Karmyogi” initiative and refinement of our operational philosophy through integration of advanced technology so as to enhance our capability and capacity.
The Conclave is an excellent example of best management practices that have been derived from the principles of good governance and aims at enhancing collective progression, esprit de corps and cohesiveness across all ranks.
