PM Modi greets ITBP personnel on their Raising Day
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has greeted Indo-Tibetan Border Police personnel on the raising day of ITBP. In a social media posted, Mr Modi said he salute the indomitable spirit and valour of our ITBP personnel.
They play a vital role in protecting our nation. Prime Minister said at the same time, their commendable humanitarian efforts during natural disasters are a testament to their unwavering commitment to the nation.
Mr Modi said may they continue to serve with the same dedication and fervour. The ITBP was raised on 24 October, 1962. At present, the ITBP guards 3,488 km long India-China borders ranging from the Karakoram Pass in Ladakh to Jachep La in Arunachal Pradesh.
