Sri Nagar: Large number of visitors start thronging high altitude meadows on Bhaderwah-Pathankot highway after heavy snowfall
Autumn is usually considered the end of the tourism season in Jammu and Kashmir . However, the tourism industry in Bhaderwah tehsil of Doda district suddenly got a new lease of life as October snowfall has brightened up the prospects of the industry in a big way.
Large number of visitors have started thronging high altitude meadows especially Guldanda and Chattergalla on Bhaderwah-Pathankot highway after heavy snowfall during the last two days converted these grasslands into white carpet.
The early snow on one hand is attracting tourists from across the country and on the other hand locals who were about to wind up their makeshift shops from high altitude meadows are enjoying the unexpected business.
