Kaziranga National Park opens for tourists for 2023-24 seasons
The world heritage site Kaziranga National Park officially opened for tourists for the 2023-24 season on Sunday. Assam Forest Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary and Agriculture Minister Atul Bora were present at the inaugural ceremony.
The park remained closed for the visitors due the monsoon season. Along with the ceremonial opening of the tourist season, several opening ceremonies were held including river tourism at Bhomoraguri beat office, environmentally focused tourism led by women at Mihimukh, the Kaziranga cycling from the Kohora Convention Centre .
Jeep safari has begun in the core tourism ranges of Kohora and Bagori. Nearly 3.15 lakh tourists visited the park in the last season.
