Andhra Pradesh Forest: Postal Cover unveils on Uppalapadu Bird Sanctuary
Amaravati: “World Migratory Bird Day” was celebrated today under the Andhra Pradesh Forest Department. On this occasion, a special postal envelope cover was unveiled on Uppalapadu bird sanctuary in Guntur Division. Similarly, a special documentary on Uppalapadu Bird Sanctuary was released.
Dr. Shantipriya Pandey, APCCF (WL), Guntur CCF Shri Y Srinivasa Reddy, Indian Postal Services Vijayawada Region, Postmaster General Shri D.V.S.R Murthy, Wildlife Wing Officers participated in the program. The program was successful under the supervision of DFO Mahaboob Basha. Field Officers of Guntur Division attended the programs organized in Guntur & Mangalagiri.
Speaking on the occasion, Additional PCCF Shantipriya Pandey expressed happiness over the unveiling of Uppalapadu bird sanctuary on the postal envelope cover and the release of a special documentary on Uppalapadu.
She praised the special initiative of PCCF HoFF Mr. Y. Madhusudhana Reddy for the development of Uppalapadu Migratory Bird Sanctuary. She explained that As a part of Habitat management, we have taken up removal of water hyacinth weed, de-silting of feeder channel, Erection of Artificial perching stands and today relarsed 20000 fish seed into the water body.
